There are hard years as well as good years. Sometimes they overlap, and sometimes they come one after the other. That’s simply how life unfolds.
In my case, I believe God has always guided me in the right direction. To be frank, even with that guidance, I made many mistakes and learned some lessons the hard way. But through it all, He never left my side, and for that I am deeply grateful.
When I look back, I don’t even think of those as “hard years.” Life simply kept moving, and I did what I had to do each day. I kept putting one foot in front of the other and I just did what I had to do at that time.
Apart from God, two things carried me through those years: gratitude and humility. I learned to appreciate what I had instead of focusing on what I lacked. I adjusted to life’s circumstances, lived within my means, and remained humble, a quality that has stayed with me since childhood.
Looking back now, I realize how far I have come. Those years taught me more about myself than I ever expected, and I continue to learn every single day. Wisdom has come to me from many places, religions around the world, books, anime, speeches, blogs, and quiet moments of introspection.
