Which book’s world would be the absolute worst to live in?

I think Westeros would be one of the worst book worlds to live in. What do you think?

Or perhaps Alagaësia, for that matter.

Think about it. When the main story begins, the world is usually already in chaos. Political conspiracies, wars, dangerous villains, and world-ending threats are everywhere. Then the protagonists arrive to save the day. Isn’t that how it usually goes?

Of course, we get to enjoy these adventures as readers, but imagine being an ordinary person living in one of these worlds. You could lose your home, family, or even your life simply because you’re caught in the middle of someone else’s grand adventure.

Come to think of it, perhaps almost every book world is a terrible place to live in when the main story unfolds. After all, peaceful worlds don’t always make for exciting stories!
