How are you able to lead your life?
Is someone giving you the commands?
Or do you have your own agenda that you follow?
This thought has been on my mind lately.
Do people have some kind of primary goal that they unconsciously follow throughout their lives?
I’m not talking about the usual goals we set for ourselves, getting a good job, earning money, building a family, becoming successful, travelling the world, or achieving something we have always wanted.
I’m talking about something deeper.
An ultimate feeling.
Something that becomes the starting point of your journey and continues to guide you throughout it.
Maybe it is the feeling of freedom.
Maybe it is the desire to be loved.
Maybe it is the need to prove yourself.
Maybe it is curiosity, recognition, adventure, security, belonging, creation, or even the desire to make a difference.
Whatever it is, perhaps this feeling quietly shapes everything else.
It influences the kind of personality we develop, the goals we choose, the beliefs we hold, the people we surround ourselves with, and even the decisions we make without consciously realizing it.
Think about it.
Two people can have completely different lives, yet both may be driven by the same underlying feeling.
And sometimes, I wonder if this core feeling is what gives us motivation without actually needing motivation.
When you are connected to something that deeply matters to you, you don’t always need someone to push you.
You simply move.
You keep going.
Even when things become difficult.
So perhaps the real question isn’t:
“What do I want to achieve in life?”
Maybe the better question is:
“What do I want to feel throughout my life?”
And that is something I’m still trying to figure out for myself.
I’m searching for that feeling, the one that can become my inner compass.
The one that doesn’t just give me goals, but helps me understand why those goals matter to me in the first place.
I don’t know what mine is yet.
Maybe discovering it is itself part of the journey.
What about you?
Do you know what your ultimate feeling is the one that quietly drives the way you live your life?
I’d love to hear your thoughts.
