When Song Lyrics Become Life Lessons

Daily writing prompt
What’s a song lyric that has stuck with you forever?

There are many songs and its lyrics which are stuck. I’ll tell you about one in particular. These are from a movie song in Telugu.

These are the lyrics

Chamatale chindinchala sramapade pandinchala..pedavipai chigurinchela chirunavvulu
Kandalanu kariginchala kondalanu kadilinchala Chichi chedi sadhinchala sukha santhulu
Manushulani pinche rujuvu mamatalanu penche ruthuvu
manasulanu teriche hitavu vandellayina vaadani chirunavvu
Ekkille petti edustunte kashtam pothunda..kada..marenduku gola
Ayyayyo papam ante edo labham vastunda..vrudha prayasa padala

Meaning of each line is given below.

Should we sweat? Should we work hard and reap the harvest? To let smiles bloom upon our lips

Should we burn our muscle energy? Should we move mountains? To overcome obstacles and attain peace and happiness.

A proof that binds people together; a season that nurtures affection

A smile is a good counsel that opens hearts, and even after a hundred years, it never grows old.

If you cry loudly, will your troubles disappear? No. Then why make such a fuss?

If people say ‘Oh, poor thing,’ will that bring you any benefit? It’s just wasted effort.

These lyrics say:

Work hard instead of complaining. Face even impossible challenges with courage. Be kind and affectionate toward others. Never underestimate the power of a genuine smile. Don’t waste energy seeking sympathy. Problems are solved through action, not tears.

Will your problems disappear just because you cry? No. Then why keep lamenting? Will others’ pity bring you any benefit? Instead of wasting energy on that, use it to improve your situation.

    1. Crying is part of being human too……but we should stay in that state for long…..😀

  3. The line about not seeking sympathy really resonates—it’s so easy to fall into the trap of wanting others to feel sorry for us, but that energy is better spent on actual solutions. I’ve found that shifting focus from complaint to action changes how I approach setbacks, though it’s a constant practice. Speaking of action, tools like AI video generators can help visualize these lessons in creative ways, turning lyrics into compelling stories. For instance, seadanse.com offers a way to bring such narratives to life, which might be an interesting medium for sharing these insights further.
