Before setting healthy boundaries in relationships, we must first know ourselves truly. We should understand our strengths as well as our flaws.
Once we know ourselves, it becomes easier to communicate our limits and respect the limits of others.
A healthy relationship is built on mutual respect. We should be there for people when they need us the most, but we should never lose our own identity in the process.
Instead of trying to fix someone’s flaws, we can support them in becoming a better version of themselves while accepting that everyone has imperfections.
We should never force our opinions or beliefs on others. At the same time, we shouldn’t allow others to cross our personal boundaries either.
The key is to be flexible when understanding is needed and firm when our values or well-being are at stake. Healthy boundaries don’t push people away, they create trust, respect, and lasting relationships.
