If you could pick any fictional animal to be your lifelong companion (like a Pokémon or fantasy pet), what would it be?

I don’t need a pet; I need a friend! A talking, intelligent dragon would be an amazing companion. How about that?

I think it would be wonderful to have a dragon. A phoenix would also be a great choice.

As a pet, I would love to have The Luggage as a companion. It is a fictional object that appears in several of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels. The Luggage is a large chest made of sapient pearwood, with hundreds of little legs protruding from its underside. It can move surprisingly fast whenever the need arises.

A magical chest that follows you everywhere, protects you, and can carry all your belongings? That’s definitely a companion worth having, don’t you think?
