We All Have Good and Bad Within Us

Daily writing prompt
What’s a moment when a stranger completely restored your faith in people?

Usually, I don’t trust people easily. In fact, one could say that I have very little faith in people in general. At the same time, I can trust someone quite easily when they treat me with genuine respect.

Being an introvert, I don’t travel much, and I usually prefer to keep my interactions with others to a minimum. But there have been a few instances when complete strangers have helped me during difficult situations, and I’m always grateful to them.

I remember one particular incident when I was travelling on my scooter through a remote area. My scooter suddenly broke down, and I was left wondering what to do. A complete stranger noticed my situation and offered to help. He helped me push my scooter all the way to the nearest town.

He didn’t know me, and he had absolutely no reason to help me. Yet he took the time and effort to do so.

People are generally good. In reality, we all have both good and bad within us. We just have to become aware of ourselves, nurture the good, and work on the bad. Perhaps that’s how we become better human beings.
