Do you think everything happens for a reason?
I believe everything happens for a reason, but not every reason is beyond our control.
According to Sanatan Dharma, the consequences of our actions (karma) from both previous lives and this life, shape our present circumstances. However, karma is not a life sentence. By doing good deeds, improving ourselves, and making wise choices, we can gradually change our future.
Similarly, some Western self-help philosophies teach that our thoughts, attitudes, and actions influence the opportunities and situations we attract. While their explanations differ, many of these ideas encourage personal responsibility and positive action.
I believe these perspectives can complement one another. We can learn valuable lessons from different philosophies and use them to live a happier and more meaningful life.
Whether the reason lies in destiny, karma, or our past choices, we still have the freedom to decide what happens next. We cannot change the past, but we can choose not to repeat it.
