Which book have you read more than any other?
Which book have you read more than any other?
I have read most of my favorite books multiple times, not just one book.
This has both advantages and disadvantages.
The biggest advantage is that I get to experience the story all over again. Since I already know the plot, I can connect the events, foreshadowing, and small details much more easily.
The disadvantage is that I don’t get to read as many new books because I keep revisiting old favorites.
In my early days of reading, I would finish a book quickly the first time. Then, after a few days or months, I would read it again, but much more slowly. Whenever I came across a word I didn’t know, I would keep a dictionary beside me, look up its meaning, and then continue reading. It was a wonderful learning experience.
Sometimes, when I revisit a book after a year or two, I realize I’ve forgotten parts of the story. That makes it feel almost like reading it for the first time again. 😆
The same goes for self-help books. I reread them whenever I need a boost of confidence or motivation. With every reread, I discover new layers of meaning in the same sentences. It reminds me that while the words stay the same, the reader keeps growing.
