I used to believe that the Earth was hanging over a giant well when I was a kid.

Someone had told me that the Earth was round, and that’s how my young mind imagined it. It felt as if the whole planet was suspended over an enormous, bottomless well. At the bottom of well, there’s darker waters.

Honestly, it was a scary thought whenever I pictured it.

Later, I learned about gravity, the solar system, and how planets actually stay in orbit.

Now, whenever I think back to that childhood imagination, it just seems ridiculous, but it’s also funny to remember how creative a child’s mind can be.
