There are so many movies and TV series that I have watched more than five times that it is difficult to list them all. My list would probably be very long.
There are two main reasons why I enjoy re-watching a movie or series.
First, when we watch something for the first time, we cannot capture everything at once. There are dialogues, expressions, background details, and subtle moments that we might miss. Each time I watch it again, I notice something new and gain a deeper understanding of the story.
Second, over time we forget many details. After a few months or years, we may not even remember the names of the characters. Our brain stores some memories but discards others. When we revisit a movie or series, it refreshes those memories and allows us to experience the enjoyment again.
This habit is not limited to movies and series. I do the same with books. I enjoy re-reading books multiple times because each reading gives a slightly different perspective.
So far, I have read more than 200 books in my lifetime, and many of them I have revisited more than once.
For me, revisiting stories—whether through films, series, or books—is a way of rediscovering ideas and emotions that might have been missed the first time.
That’s simply how it works for me.
