My favorite candy is chocolate, without a doubt. I enjoy it more than any other sweet. Apart from chocolate, I also love nut- and seed-based candies , they feel more wholesome and satisfying.

What I enjoy the most, though, are home-made candies. There’s something special about sweets prepared at home, with care and familiar flavors. When it comes to sweetness, I prefer jaggery over refined sugar. I consciously try to eat less sugar and choose jaggery whenever possible, as it feels lighter and more natural.

That said, my mom has her own sweet weakness 😄 She still enjoys hard, colorful sugar candies once in a while. Almost every time we visit a mart, she ends up buying a packet of those classic sugared candies. It’s a small habit, but a sweet reminder that some childhood joys never really fade.
