I’m not much of a “sports” person since childhood, not even a sports watching person 😅
My father was a great cricket fan and I used to watch with him, so the only sport I used to watch and that too in TV is cricket.
That said, I did develop interest in playing badminton 8 years back and have been playing it ever since, but not playing consistently.
We formed a group here in our area and we play whenever are all available on weekends. We book a badminton court and play doubles.
Badminton gives us a way to let our stress and tension built up in weekdays. It’s a great way to relieve stress.
My office conducted a badminton tournament and our team won second place. I consider this a great achievement.
Why? Because, as I mentioned earlier, I was never a sports person growing up. In most sports I participated in, I used to lose. I was physically weak. But with badminton, I practiced regularly and developed a real passion for the game. Of course, having a good team also helped.
