When I win the lottery and receive the money after government tax deductions, like any ordinary person, the first thing I would do is reduce my debts. Financial freedom begins with being debt-free.
I would donate 10% of the amount to God and for charity purposes.
Next, I would try to clear as much debt as possible. I would also purchase gold jewellery for the ladies in my household. With gold prices skyrocketing nowadays, it feels wiser to buy gold now since its value usually increases over time.
I would keep some amount as a fixed deposit in my mother’s account. I would also set aside some money for future marriage expenses.
Finally, money should earn money. So I would invest a portion of the lottery amount wisely to generate long-term returns.
