What the Dragon Means to Me: A Personal Reflection

What is your favorite animal?

I think I have already answered this prompt before 🤔
Still, I’ll try again.

Instead of a real animal, I want to talk about my favorite fantasy or mythological creature.

To be honest, I don’t like any animal in particular in this real world.

But when it comes to mythological beings — my favorite is the Dragon.

I often feel that my soul’s spirit animal is a Dragon, and somewhere inside that Dragon lives another spirit — a Phoenix.
I know it may sound childish, but I genuinely love this idea. This post is only about Dragons and there will be a post about phoenix.

My fascination with dragons started early. The first time I ever saw a dragon on television was in the movie Dungeons & Dragons. The final battle, where two different kinds of dragons fight each other, left a deep impression on me. That moment sparked an interest that never really faded.

Since then, I’ve watched almost every dragon-related movie, read books filled with dragons, and even dreamed about them.

Dragons are majestic — awe-inspiring, powerful, and seemingly invincible.
Just their image feels full of glory.

They fill me with wonder and make me aspire to be more.
To be dignified like them.
To seek knowledge like them.
To be strong, resilient, and wise.

In many ways, dragons are not just creatures of myth —
they feel like a part of us.
