I did not have much interest in politics during my childhood. My favorite subject in school was Social Science, which included History, Civics, and Geography. Among these, I enjoyed History the most, while Civics was my least favorite
As for politics, I believe that throughout history there have always been both good rulers and bad rulers. In recent times, however, it often feels like bad rulers dominate the political landscape. News about scams, corruption, and illegal activities by politicians is widespread in India, and even when such actions are hidden, people are usually aware of them.
My political views have become more realistic than idealistic. In an imperfect system where corruption seems unavoidable, people should choose leaders who, despite their flaws, deliver some tangible benefits to the public. While this is not an ideal situation, it reflects the difficult choices citizens feel compelled to make today.
