Listening More, Speaking Less: The Hidden Strength of Introverts

Have you ever performed on stage or given a speech?

First of all, I’ve always had a huge stage fear. As a child, I once danced with my friends on stage when I was in school. But once I entered adulthood, my stage only multiplied.

I’ve never given speech on stage due to this. Whenever I go onto the stage, fear & nervousness take over, I’ll shake with fright and it feels like a dance to the viewers. For this, I was ridiculed and commented on😅.

Afterwards never tried that. But as life moved on, I had to take center stage in some situations and I did. But stage fear has not completely left me, but I’m trying to overcome as much as possible.

As for giving speech, I’m terrible at speaking. Hence, I listen most and speak less. If you give a topic and write upon it, I’d write a book, but never speak. Maybe I’m too lazy to form words in my mind🤣

Since childhood, I’m not a people person, I’ve always been introverted living happily in my own world/personal space and I’m happy for that. Yet I believe speaking with loved ones is essential. Writing is my comfort, listening is my gift, and speaking is my challenge.
