Peace, for me, begins with the divine.
The presence of Lord Krishna or Lord Venkateshwara – whether through thought, scripture, or song—brings a stillness that nothing else can. Reading about Him, reflecting on His leelas, or immersing myself in soulful keertanas fills my heart with quiet joy and a sense of completeness.
Especially the keertanas of Sri Annamacharya – each line feels like a gentle touch to the soul. His words don’t just praise the divine; they speak to the deepest corners of the heart, awakening devotion, humility, and peace.
I find peace in giving – in charity, in helping others, in small acts that ripple outward. There’s a calm that comes from knowing you’ve lightened someone else’s burden.
Music, too, is a gentle refuge. Listening to my favorite songs – especially those that carry emotion and memory – soothes the mind and lifts the spirit.
And then there’s nature. A field in full bloom, the scent of earth after rain, the quiet majesty of green landscapes – these scenes speak a language of peace that needs no translation.
