Do you ever see wild animals?
Yes, I see many in my hometown. While traveling on roads near the villages, we often spot wild deer crossing, and sometimes even boars and peacocks.
Living in urban cities doesn’t give us the same chance to encounter wild animals.
The most commonly seen wild animals around the villages are snakes. But recently, I was lucky enough to spot a tortoise in a well far from the village, closer to the hills. It was a very exciting experience for me. The tortoise was cute and very shy; it didn’t even show its face and kept hiding inside its shell. After some time, we left it in the well where we had found it.
Until that time, I had never seen a wild tortoise in my life. It truly was a unique experience. I have always had a bit of fascination with animals and nature in general. Apart from cartoons, I used to watch TV channels about nature and wildlife, such as National Geographic and Discovery. This habit continues even today. Nowadays, I enjoy watching documentaries by the famous naturalist Sir David Attenborough.
It is sad that humans are responsible for the destruction of the Earth through global warming, deforestation, pollution, and the overuse of natural resources—resources that belong to all living beings, not just humans.
These are some of the photos of the tortoise from the well.
