If we’re talking about things, then without a doubt—books. Not just objects, but portals. Each one a companion, a teacher, a time machine. My shelves hold stories, wisdom, and worlds I’ve wandered through. They’re the coolest treasures I’ve ever found and kept.
But if we go beyond things, then the answer shifts.
The coolest thing I’ve ever found—and continue to keep—is wisdom. The knowledge of who I am, how this world works, and how I fit into it. These insights—God-given, earned through reflection and experience—are the real keepsakes.
I didn’t find this wisdom in a single moment. It came in fragments—through failure, through books, through conversations, through solitude. And once found, I’ve kept it close. It’s my compass.
I hold onto them. I live by them. And yet, I know I’ve only scratched the surface.
There’s still so much to learn.
