One might see this as just another blog. But for me, it’s something special — my most meaningful piece of writing so far. It’s the beginning of my journey into the world of blogging and storytelling.
I’ve always been a “stories” person — whether it’s a short story, a novel, or even a single line that can transport you to the wonders of an imaginary world.
Take this line for example: “The Beacons of Gondor.” I first heard it from a college senior — a guy with a quirky name — and that one phrase lit a fire in me to explore The Lord of the Rings. The idea of lighting beacons across distant hills to call for aid felt so grand and magical. When he described it in just one sentence, I could instantly visualize the entire scene in my mind.
Interestingly, while writing this blog, the image of those beacons came back to me — vivid as ever — even though I couldn’t recall the exact word “beacons” right away. By the way, The Lord of the Rings was the second novel series I read during my college days.
This blog is a collection of my thoughts and experiences — my personal relationship with themes ranging from
- High fantasy,
- Mythology,
- History
- Religion,
- Architecture,
- Travels,
- Anime
- Self-realization/wisdom
- My own created fantasy world.
I’ll also share reflections on the books I’ve read and the worlds I’ve wandered through in my imagination.
I’ve always been a “stories” guy, but I never really ventured into writing — even though I’ve always wanted to. For a long time, self-doubt held me back from stepping into this space. But life is short, and while we live and breathe, why not try?
I may be a novice at blogging, but I believe this is my first step toward discovering who I truly am — a small yet meaningful contribution to the world.
Through this space, I hope not only to share, but also to learn and grow. Writing helps me see things differently, and I hope it resonates with others too.
So, let the journey begin…
Have you ever felt held back by self-doubt? Or had a story waiting to be told?
I’d love to hear your thoughts, experiences, or even your favorite lines that sparked your imagination — feel free to share in the comments!
